Linguistics kill me.
I realised I haven’t been talking about life in general.
I just handed up my Child Language Development coursework yesterday! (: We had to analyse the speech of this 2 year old and see if his development is normal. It wasn’t too bad. Now I have about 4 more pieces of coursework to be in before Easter. Oh dear oh dear. I’m taking it one at a time. To think they all came in at once! Not that I accumulated them! :((
When there is coursework, I drink coffee. Haha. Since it is so hard to find condensed milk, I went to buy instant coffee which is much easier to make and quite fun. :D Nescafe Cappuccino! It comes with froth and a bottle of chocolate dust. Variations include… honey cappuccino (not fantastic), mochappuccino (haha, self invented. Just add Cadbury chocolate powder)!
Yesterday was Gordon’s birthday. So he had a party in the common room. Spent the whole night in the common room with about 8,000 Singaporeans and several housemates. It was quite fun, especially talking to the housemates. We realised we don’t spend a lot of time sitting together and talking like we did last term. Hence this Saturday morning we are all going to Portobello Market. Yay.
Also yesterday there was an earthquake in England, about 200km away from London. But I felt tremors like how we get tremors in Singapore when Indonesia quakes. Apparently the 5.4 quake is biggest here in 25 years. But no one died.
Recently I’ve started watching movies on my computer. I realise I have quite a good movie library from all the ripping. Haha. I was watching Sweeney Todd yesterday. It was VERY good, gory but not scary. Then I watched I Am Legend on Monday morning and that was really good as well. Well, actually it’s because they are proven good movies that I even have them in my collection… so no point telling you they were good. They all are good. Haha.
Now I have quite a few movies waiting to be watched. (: No Country for Old Men, the Oscar Best Film… I don’t even know what it is about, actually. Haha. Last King of Scotland and There Will Be Blood, went to find these because GGGG was telling me they are good. And my arsenal of horror movies which I do not dare to watch. Haha. Maybe I will watch them at home in summer. :P
Watching The Simpsons as usual at every meal. Haha. Almost finished season 16, 17, 18. Season 19 still showing on TV.
I haven’t been shopping or buying things. (: Am thinking of getting a DSLR camera… so decided I should stop buying clothes and random stuff. Some more nowadays so fat. Maybe there will be good deals in Barcelona? Then I must be skinnier by then. Haha. A DSLR is VERY expensive anyway. I am always flitting between buying or not buying. I know with that kind of equipment I will take even more amazing photographs. But, S$1500 cheapest! That is not even counting the extra lenses that everyone ends up getting. Haha.
I have started looking for houses anyway. Decided to stay in W1 still.. W1 is my area now. Which is somewhere around the dark green and dark blue districts on the right side of the Monopoly board. Hahah, what a good reference. I really like this place. It is very exciting, and also relatively safe because at all times there are a lot of people on the streets. It is also very convenient because there are TONS of buses that come to this area, and most of them run 24hrs. It is quite far from uni though, but the areas near uni are not very safe. Camden, King’s Cross?! My linguistics tutor was talking about condoms and needles near King’s Cross when she goes to school early in the morning. Yikes.
So I’m going to stay put in W1. I hope I can, it might be very expensive. But I have done a bit of looking around, studios are affordable here but not flats/houses with multiple rooms. My options are 1) To live with Jos J Lee and Vince in their Baker Street house if their housemate decides to move out. Then I will have a proper sized room at Baker Street. Very nice place and nearer school than Oxford Street I think. 2) To find a nice place and live with Sam. That’s if she is coming to do industrial attachment in central London next year. Don’t know yet. 3) Take out my own place in W1. Studio, probably. It seems no one else wants to stay in W1… because people like to have something like 5 people staying together.. and that will be hell expensive to find a place in W1.
I can’t wait to settle on an option and go look at houses! So fun! :D
Okay, what else? Nothing much. Been quite tired recently. Everyone’s been asking me if I’m okay because I walk in and out of the house looking very tired everyday. My 20 item to-do list has been narrowed down to 5 items though. Phew.
Hahah my meepok craving. It is quite fun to see everyone’s photos with meepok. So silly. When I get a substantial number I will collage them here. :D Wesley back in Singapore for Ironman apparently considered dabaoing meepok back for me. Hahaha. But the hawker said it won’t last 13 hours on the plane. Hahah, don’t really need the uncle to tell you right… Found bak chor mee sauce sold by PrimaTaste, but they don’t have it in London, at least not in the shops at Chinatown. It is new. I think I will get people to buy for me when they go back in Easter. :D
Okay okay, back to work. :(
By the way, EJZZ would you like a cool new handbag? I feel like buying this bag for you. :D

Can 2 diapers, some clothes, and 2 bottles fit into it? Does it fit my style? Well it is a cool handbag, I suppose it fits :-) But to be honest, I don’t need another bag, I’ve got about 30 of them and am still always seen with a particular one…you know which one? Thanks for the offer, it’s the thoughts that counts. And we are going to the Mango factory outlet at BCN, better slim down if you like Mango. Also, can you gimme your Sony if you buy a DSLR??
